The woodapple shawl is worked top down.
It starts as a regular triangle shawl with a center spine.
The lace and slip stitch border has only increases along the sides and gives the shawl a little bit of a crescent finish.
Materials
The shawl requires approx. 300 gr (630 yds / 576 m) of Aran weight yarn
The sample shown used 3 skeins of Worsted by Malabrigo Yarn (Aran, 100% Merino, 210 yds / 192 m per 100 gr), colorway: 18 Applewood.
One US 8 / 5 mm circular needle (or size to obtain gauge), 32“ / 80 cm or longer, stitch markers, tapestry needle
Gauge
16 sts x 24 rows = 4 x 4 “/ 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch (after blocking)
Finished size after blocking (wingspan x depth)
76” /190 cm x 28” / 70 cm
